Ok...
I got my first kill 3 hours after turning on game. Couldn't even get off ground till I did some reading. Thanks guys for the help. Now.......How do I land this thing?!?!?!?!?!
-
With time:
1) find a friendly airfield
2) make approach
3) slow down by reducing throttle
4) extend flaps
5) extend gear at ~140 airspeed
6) maintain between -0.5 and -1.5 decent rate
7) touch down on runway
8) brake
9) exit aircraft after stop
Without time:
1) hope you're near friendly field
2) line up on runway
3) slow down to ~150
4) set down on runway
5) hope you don't slide off because you didn't extend your gear
6) exit

Well
I figured on most of the stuff of things JonnyB said but I am currently using only able to fly with my mouse. And Yes it is hard bellybutton all get out to do. Can't figure out how to stop....where's the BRAKES!!!!???????!

to further jonnyb's 'got time' landing, on your approach, pick a spot like the end of the runway, and watch which way it is drifting in relation to your plane: if it is moving farther from you, you are landing short; if it is moving under you nose, you are landing farther down the runway. Use your throttle to control your speed while trying to keep a steady angle, you will be able to correct your approach that way. When you get close, hold your nose steady and a bit high, chop throttle, keep your nose angle and the plane will settle down nicely. From there you will start getting the feel of pushing the plane down 'hot' when in a hurry, or maybe coming up short and gunning it a bit to make the runway. Practice offline until you get it down....then start making carrier landings, they are the funnest.

My usual landing style is to approach the field about 2000 feet above ground level, cut throttle, drop a notch of flaps (Q key), drop gear (G), and drop another notch of flaps (Q). Make approach at about 150-175 mph, using throttle to keep airspeed in this range. I cut throttle once I get over the runway.
A good rundown of takeoffs and landings can be found on Netaces.org at:

Unfortunately, it's kinda like riding a bike. The only way you're going to learn is to practice. I'd recommend either doing it offline or in the training arena (TA) so you don't have people shooting at you.

The brake is the Spacebar...Just hold it down when u hit the ground.
