THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

Changes in the map make it much more readable. Too bad this opportunity wasn't used to change the "map room dot" from yellow to sky blue.
-
I use sky blue for my squad color

Yes, the new map is great. I can finally see the mountians and the contour lines are an extra plus. Good job...

The clipboard map is great, we should have em for all terrains in that style. I am dissapointed that fields were lowered to such an extreme, Trinity lost a lot of character with that move and now is just a big map like all the others. Oh well, still fun.

And many strange, unexplained sightings.

did ya shoot it 6pence?

No, but I was abducted and have been farting flames.

OK, spill! Where is it?

I believe it is to the NW of A80.

I like the map and being able to see the actual mountain ranges is an extreme benefit. I only have one slight bone to pick. Can we make it a bit darker overall so that the default bright green for friendlies can be seen easier. If not no big deal I have changed colors .. but at first I was having hard time reading base numbers. Just blame my old eyes.

It's a toss-up GD... make it darker, then the red doesn't show up well at all. Trust me, there is nothing arbitrary about the colors, we've gone through many, many evolutions with this thing. Also, because the elevation actually changes the color value of any particular color, it is very difficult to find a color that works perfectly everywhere... unless of course you have an absolutely flat terrain. This combination seems to work best for all considerations. In this case, it was felt that better contrast for the enemy icons would be preferred.
I've found that cranking the friendly green down just a little bit darker works very well for me. YMMV. :)

Actually I found cranking down the green works great on the map. The problem then I have was seeing a darker green icon against the landscape while flying. Sort of started blending in more with the ground when I was looking around for other rooks. And boy is it a pain at night when you go icons darker.
I thought it was something like that .. I think I will either have to stick with white icons or bright baby blue. Just wish the hard coded base icon colors changed too so I would have only 2 colors on the map instead of green & white/or baby blue and red.
Oh, well. Love the elevations .. need that on all maps.
