seems like a lot of it going around...

fear of a war,
fear of a crashed economy,
fear of WMD's,
fear that someone (government) might be eroding some of your personal freedoms,


what drives you ?

Fear that my kids might have to grow up in a world where the terrorists are armed with NBC weapons.

Hope.

Hope that there will be peace in the future, for my kids to enjoy.

I know it won't happen in my lifetime, but I hope my generation will be the generation to bring peace and prosperity globally.

fear that terrorists will have sanctuary and support in nuclear armed states (much dicier to regime-change those) :)

Maybe I'm speaking out of turn here, but I bet most people my age or older probably have a more optomistic view of things.

Those of us who remember the "duck and cover" drills, or the air raid siren tests ..(yes children, we had siren tests).. have to feel like we beat the odds. There used to be much more of a sense of forboding about the future. I think we're gonna be OK.

I was thinking I'm kinda afraid I won't get laid ever again and how moribd that is....

then I saw the corn-dog thing and decided that I aspire to be like SOB... well ok.. only kinda like SOB

was funny the other day Toad... my boss didn't belive I worked on a spy plane during the cold war..
till my description showed up on the news!  lol

kinda brought me back though.. thinking about that job
and how much fear I had back then.
and here I am, and 'old' man now.. when there was a time I wondered if I'd live to be 25

Heh, the thing about end of the world scenarios...

No matter how many turn out to be false alarms, only one has to be true.

Personally, I fear that SOB is going to exhaust the world's corndog & DP supply in the next 5 years.

My great grandfather feared the world (his world) would end in 1865.

My Grandfather thought the world would end with WW1 serving in the Army Aircorp.

My father thought it was over during the '61 sword rattling and the 62' missile crisis.

My biggest fear is lackonookey.
