(not an actual picture)
-
Is it the Macchi MC200?
-
Saetta of the ICBAF?
-
thats a Macchi 200 or 202, no mistaking that hunchback look, not Mussolini government markings so must be Italian Co-Belligerent air force.
-
nope, it's not Italian, it is British. Hint: only 2 prototypes built.
-
Gloster F.5/34 then.
-
Bob
-
surely not a Macchi:D
-
Looks like a gloster from cowl.?
-
SirLoin, yup it is a Gloster F.5/34 as Gulbert says.
The Macchi C200 did not have a prop spinner nor have the exhaust hanging down like in the picture. The fairings for the cylinders on the Macchi were much longer - 1/2 the cowl in length.
The Macchi C202 used a inverted V-12 engine (DB601) not a radial.
