Don't read anything into this fellas, I'm offering just incase...

Liz is probably talking about the Collings Foundation planes.
They tour the country and sell rides for a couple hundred a pop.
Here's their schedule: http://www.collingsfoundation.org/cf_sch-wof2003.htm

Its at the Mercury Air Center at the Bham airport. I'm talking to HB to see if he wants to meet me and my kids there Sat. morning sometime. We could all do some lunch afterwards.
Hell, I might go after work one day without the kids so I can make rat-a-tat-a-tat noises with my leather helmet and goggles on. That way I don't give em an excuse to call me Tard-Daddy.
Schedule is:
Thurs, 3-6pm
Fri, 9am-6pm
Sat, 9am-1pm

I had a tail to nose tour of the "Boeing Bee" B-17E at the Renton factory a few years back. The AH B17 aint even close -but still, is close enough for dweeby gaming :D
-
Myself and two of my grand kids went to a fly-in recently at our local Municipal airport. Got a couple of pics of the 17 and other aircraft that was there on our MERC-AIR site, http://www.geocities.com/mercair .

Sweet bird, I got to tour it inside before it was open to the public a few years back.

Those birds are coming to our local airport (Livermore) on May 25-28. If any NoCal peeps want to take a ride ($350 a pop) let me know because I'm doing it. It's a lot of money but it's a once in a lifetime type thing.

Reschke, how does Sat. at 9 sound?
-
Sounds good I will send you an email with my phone numbers so we can get hooked up. I will even bring my little boy along for the trip so he can make those sounds for me. I will not be taking the rides other than in my mind. $350 is outta reach right now.
Well Liz I was going to send you an email but I lost your addy. Shoot me one so we can get the times and stuff worked out.

You're in for a treat, Funked. I flew in the 'Yankee Lady' at the Reading PA airshow a couple of years back, and I never regretted it for a minute. You're going to gain some insights that you just can't get from reading a book.
I still have a few pics from the flight at:

Hearing those deep throaty roars when they cranked up was a blast. Funked and NoCal crew with have a great time seeing these planes.

oh, you mean these 2 in particular then.
