Fox Channel reports that the USA imports 65 million gallons of bottled water from France.

Now that less water will be exported, you french can start bathing.  Be sure to wash behind your horns!

they did a poll that showed 95 percent support for a boycott of French manufactured goods.

The USA imports 28 Billion dollars worth of French products as compared to our 19 billion we export to France.

I am not convinced a trade tit for tat is a good idea, but it sure looks like it is going to happen.

The government will have little influence over the French imports. It will be people complaining to their local stores and restaurants that will have the most effect.

If you tell a restaurant that you find it offensive that they are pushing French wines after what France has done lately, and that you have decided not to order any wine in protest, you are doing more for the boycott than you can imagine.

If you tell your local grocery store manager that you are going to buy your groceries at his competitor because he stocks Evian or Perrier then you will have an effect.

And of course if you refuse to buy any French products yourself you will have an effect. Each action is really only a tiny drop of water in the big scheme of things, but put enough drops of water together and you have an ocean.

I hate to be so Anti-American and actually question the facts and the fervor.. but has anyone given thought to the fact that the US has 280 Million people and France has about 59 Million people? And with  a quick look at the numbers, it looks like they buy more from us per capita than we buy from them per capita.

And some do not.

I fall in the later catagory. My only regret is that I spent of 50k on a French Ultralight last summer.

I could have bought a great South African one or a Brit one for the same money.

I will fly it with shame.

you could have bought any number of American ultralights that are probably better and at a lower cost.

I posted some pics a while back I but here is one off the company website. It is a picture of one of the guys from the factory that makes them. The trike is a DTA voyageur and has a 912 S engine. It was 50K Canadian so only about 34K in USD.

Mine is essentially the same but is white and has a different shaped fuel tank. It holds over 70 liters of fuel and burns just over 10 liters an hour.

I will post some pics of me flying it when I get it out of storage in a few weeks when the weather is warmer.
