Title: Darwin elegible?
Post by: sling322 on March 19, 2003, 05:49:36 PM
So I'm watching ABC News at work and Jennings says that some dude jumped off the Golden Gate today right after shouting out some anti-war statement.So...is he eligible or not?

Gotta admit...not the brightest way to get your point across.

hmm, reminds me of those people who suicide because they think the world is about to end.  If they're right, why hurry things any? If they're wrong...

I don't think darwinawards.com accepts suicide actions as eligible.

Is sad that there are people so disturbed as to kill themselfs in that way, BTW.

If he had jumped screaming "No to war!" thinking that he could bounce off the water and land in Iraq where he could act as a human shield, then yes, Darwin award candidate.

But since he jumped (supposedly) knowing that it would result in  his death, he's not darwin material.
