So, again Sadaam lied.  He said he would not ignite oil wells.

But, we should believe him when he says he has no WMDs:rolleyes:

Oh come on, Username, a young arrogant communist that get fed news forcefully from one media (State Media) get to have a say in it too, now don't they? After all, he's from N. Korea, goes by a generic name(Probably so the secret police don't trace him) and is just doing what he can't do in NK, voice his opinion! ;)

I just tried it on my "French Army Knife" post and had the little box checked, it didn't work.  Its a setting the the board monitor has control of...we're able to delete threads on on our auto BBS, but not this one (same software)

Don't lock the thread or deny free speech. Just remove some of the anonymity and show us links between all posters and their AH accounts. People generally behave better when they can't hide in darkness.

When the truth about Saddam is revealed and the liberated Iraqis are dancing in the streets, those voices who attacked our leadership so unashamedly will be forever diminished. Yuk it up while ya can.

Everyone knows I love GWB, but I gotta admit that was a funny pic.  It makes it even funnier thinking it was posted by a NK (when in reality it is probably a fat pimply teenager from W. Virginia's made up account===Weazel).

Too true.

Man, what an MA it would be, huh? Talk about reviving the "hate" that some folks seem to miss from a previous ACM game.

:D

There'd be some voluntary handle changes and posting reforms I bet.

AKIron: Don't lock the thread or deny free speech.

Why the heck not? HTC is not federal government and is not limited by Constitution. There is no "free speech" in this private board of theirs - only what they are graciously willing to tolerate.

Just remove some of the anonymity and show us links between all posters and their AH accounts.

That would be violation of the implicit (or maybe even explicit - forgot that small print) contract. Thy can refuse service but not use information submitted by users inapproppriately.

People generally behave better when they can't hide in darkness.

Any tyrant would wholeheartedly agree with you. But why not len everybody to register his disagrement with UserName or ignore his opinion, etc?
I find it educational to learn what some people outside US think of us. Eliminating the thread or chasing the user from the board would not eliminate those people, would it?

Read my post again.....after this ISP was blocked

His company blocked it. Nothing about "banned" in that post.

I could read your post a hundred times, and the logical conclusion would be that he was banned and Skuzzy blocked his IP address.  Thanks for the clarification.

-I didn't say they shouldn't deny a constitutional right, I said don't deny free speech. It is also their right to allow it if they want.

That would be violation of the implicit (or maybe even explicit - forgot that small print) contract. Thy can refuse service but not use information submitted by users inapproppriately.

-I didn't say they should reveal personal information. I don't remember reading in any contract where they couldn't reveal connections between UBB users and AH accounts. Maybe you could reference that for me?

I have little interest in anyone's opinion that doesn't have the couarge to take some responsibility for their view.

AKIron: -I didn't say they shouldn't deny a constitutional right, I said don't deny free speech. It is also their right to allow it if they want.

I understand. Usually "free speech" is referred to the Constitutional issue, so I just tried to make it more clear.

-I didn't say they should reveal personal information. I don't remember reading in any contract where they couldn't reveal connections between UBB users and AH accounts. Maybe you could reference that for me?

That's why I said "implicit". There are quite a lot implied agreements not necessarily mentioned in contracts that would nevertheless stand in court.

I have little interest in anyone's opinion that doesn't have the courage to take some responsibility for their view.

Then you've fooled me. :) I'd say you are worked up a great deal about his opinion...

Anyway, you have an opinion about Hussein, but I don't see you sneaking into Iraq, standing on the street corner and "taking responcibility for it".
Despite that, you still believe - and rightly so - that your opinion has validity just on it's logical/factual merits rather than your personal charisma or courage in promoting it.

Miko, no strong feelings about username here , not the first I've been exposed to an idiot.

Saddam is a bad man, he needs to be removed. I was in the military the first time around, didn't go to the gulf, was needed elsewhere. I'm retired now, otherwise I just might be there. Anyhow, I trust my government to do the job that must be done regardless of what some think or say.

When he's gone and the truth is known I just hope some will learn to keep their silly mouths shut when they don't know what the hell they're talking about. I can always hope.

I'm not American...so no, it is not a special American understanding of freedom.  It is mine.

Seeing the American flag defaced by nazi swatizas revolts me.  It is twisted way to make a point.
