Im currently building a 1/700 scale Russian Oscar class sub, and was wondering about detailing the beast. Anyone Know where they have some good close up pics of modern subs? russian in particular? TY in advance.

Which Oscar -- the Oscar 1 'Granit' or Oscar 2 'Antey'? I don't know how good the pictures will be for closeups, but this page on the Type 949 (http://www.aeronautics.ru/archive/fleet/russian/949.htm) series will give you more information. And the Project 949/949A (http://www.submarine.id.ru/thumbs/949/index.shtml) page over at http://www.submarine.id.ru/ has more pictures, including several showing the actual missile tubes, but it's in Russian (you can use the translator at http://www.translate.ru/ to translate the text, though). The submarine.id.ru site does have some interesting photographs, with details that you probably won't see on other sites, such as a photograph showing the centerline panels on the upper bow open, or crew working in the SS-N-19 missile tubes.
