"Americans very good," Ali Khemy said. "Iraq wants to be free."
Some chanted, "Ameriki! Ameriki!"
Many others in the starving town just patted their stomachs and raised their hands, begging for food.
A man identifying himself only as Abdullah welcomed the arrival of the U.S. troops: "Saddam Hussein is no good. Saddam Hussein a butcher."

CNN did an interview in a mosque last night - dunno which city. Reporter had a translater ask the Iraqi muslims questions.
Something to the effect of:
"How many of you have lost family members because of Saddam?"
:::All raise their hands:::
"Who is at fault for the war in Iraq?"
"Saddam"
"How many of you support the war in Iraq?"
:::All rasie their hands:::
Start chanting "Saddam mussgo!" In broken English.
Hell, they even interviewed an Iraqi teenager who had lost a sister to a UNITED STATES MISSILE in the first Gulf War. When asked who he blames... his answer? Saddam.
Good piece, and well orchestrated, but I challenge even the most rabies infected protestor to find me an Iraqi against the war in his own country.

also... the commie news network is having a really hard time finding crying, burned up babies to film. The libs are having a hard time filming the thousands of body bags being filled by allied corpses... The collapse of the U.S. economy appears to be more than a few hours or days away yet and...
Gas prices are down.... did a 100 ft burnout to celebrate.

Wont be long now.... someone is going to show up and call this all roadkill....
Hearing this almost chokes me up.
News like this lets me know we are right in supporting this war.

ahhh.. the sweet smell of burning rubber on asphalt with a side of nice rich auto exhaust from an American V-8 (possibly a little nitrous once in a while too)
Proud to be an American

Hey! Don't kiss and tell!
Oed goes for the personal attack because when you're wrong about everything, you gotta find something to hang onto. ;)

GtoRA2 don't have to. It discredits itself by trying to say much more than is there. Iraqi's change hats as often as Ripsnort gets his panties in a wad getting hystrerical over things. Depending on who's in town and who has the loaded guns is what you'll hear them chant. They're backward, not stpuid. It's simply self preservation. And if you read the article you can see it's not the expected waves of adoring, happy crowds of newly liberated citizens lining the streets waving at the US/UK soldiers.
Oed
Someone find that post where I predicted this very attitude. :D
I'll just say the U.S. military would like to apologize to the average liberal-communist-pantywaist that the war is not going so badly as you'd like, and we'll try to get more of ourselves killed to make it right. If you write your congressman, we'd can probably arrange to burn a few babies too.... like'em well-done or rare?
-
Oedipus...Go diddly you mother!
*Laughs*
I don't really mean that. I've just always wanted to say it.:D
Alright, maybe I mean it a little....

Heh. Of all people to start with the names.
I mean you're a stable guy and all so I should value your opinion. I could be wrong though.....
Oh gee that really hurt. Chances are that you are wrong :)

Oed [/B]
I am sure the blonde women thank you for your bigot sterotyping too ;) Hi Ronnie! :)

Anway. Who knows. In college, I just might have done yours!
Oed [/B]
Wow, between flying on a C-47[/i] helo support from ships off shore in Beiruit and college, you're a busy guy ;) (Psst, they like to use Ch-46 Sea kings for that task, if you didn't know)
-
Hmmm... watched some footage today of Marines being transported... definitely CH-47.

Could be, sure that wasn't a C-47? ;)

Well... I looked for the green paint and the black and white stripes, but didn't see any... Plus... the guys inside didn't have cubed heads. :)

Dad? Nahh, if you actually managed to inseminate my mother, I would probably have inherited the 'Bleeding Heart Liberal" gene.
If you did manage to nail Mom, I wondering if she gave you the discount rate based on the light load. Remember, Sunday is Double Coupons day!
Let me pass along my congratulations on your originality by pulling the "MAW Card". Really. That's so refreshing to see. In actuality (sound it out now) I have a Bachelor of Business Aministration from Adelphi University, class of 1993. I would have went for my masters, but decided it was time to live in the real world.
A persons propensity for vulgarity is not indicative of his or her intelligence, or education.

What was your division? What was the Division CO's name? What was your rank? How long were in for? You copied that off a Navy website, most servicemen have their own pics, got any?
I call BS, and you trying to imitate a soldier is laughable at best, an insult to those who did serve.
you.

OE division. 1981-1985. I had four Division Heads (they're not CO's dork) during my tour.
You never served a day in your life, you keep dodging my challenge to show what YOU did for your country and you've got the gall to say that to me? You need 'help.'
(or Midol)
Besided working on the ALCM, B-2 program? Nothing. Why does that matter?
You're a liar, you give me text and a website of a picture. I have ex-military men in my squadron who are reading this and saying "Liar". I've called you on the floor, and you're pissed. Tough luck Liar.

Well... If Oed had claimed to be in OE division on a combatant, I would have probably considered his story to be a load of hooey. There's too much work to do on weapon systems and subsystems. On a support ship, it could very well be true.
I think he's genuine.
FWIW... I was in OI division on the USS Leahy (CG-16)... 1983-1987. :)

Martlet. On the ship there was one full time quartermaster and he had a group of volunteers. It was made up from Petty Officers from all different departments. We also had the security force which was all E3's and up which, again, was made up of all different people from the different divisions. Being an ammo ship we also had "special weapons' on board at times and I was part of the security force that would have to pull watch when they were being moved. OE division stood Combat Center watches, helo tower watch during Unrep and helo ops as well as roving security force watches (if as I was we volunteered for that) We did not do bridge watches or deck watches. It was my experience from participating in those groups, and the low pool of candidates to draw from with M14 quals on theship, that got us in the security force attached to the heloes during operations to and from shore in a hot zone.
I familiar with security force, I saw the guys doing it. I've never seen someone from an OE division with an M14 riding shotgun on a 46, though. I've seen stranger things. I wasn't laughing in assumption that your statement was untrue, I was laughing at the absurdity of a squid with an M14 providing gunfire support.
