Title: I have found my way to Deutchland
Post by: Elfdoc on March 21, 2003, 04:15:51 PM
I have not been able to play for the last month as I have been in route to a 3-4 month vacation with Uncle Sam to take care of some sick/injured military in Germany.  Who lives here and when do they fly?  I will still try to find time to fly with my squad (Knights who say Ni!) but getting up at 0400 to fly is going to be painful and not frequently done.  Let me know!!!

Where are you, in Germany?

I am in the Ramstein area.  I still don't have internet access up for my laptop so I can't fly as of yet.  Hopefully that will happen this week!

Hey Elf,  you workin out of Landstul?  I was at Ramstein from 94 to 98,  lot of cool places around there.   Frankfurt is not that far away either.   Hope you get time to see Heidlburg and Mainhiem also.

I was in Frankfurt from 91-94 when I was at the 97th General and yes, I am now at Landstuhl working in the ER.  It is nice to watch CNN and know what presents the Air Force is bringing us.  I have now been in Germany since 22 Feb (and hopefully will be returning home 21 May!!)  I am waiting for DSL to be hooked up (should be this week) so I can get back up flying!

This past weekend I went on a wine tasting in a small town called Hackenheim (close to Bad Kreuznach) and on Sunday we drove to Luxembourg.  I am hoping that I will make it to London to visit family and to see some plays.

The time off has been great but we are also working somewhat long hours.  In the end I will be happy to get back home to friends and family.
