Iraq is going to need a lot of humanitarian aid, for years to come.  I say we pay for it out of the Israeli military aid funds.

If I was an American, I'd second that idea.

I don't know how much money the UK gives Israel. Probably not much.

1. Send the ~$3 Billion we send to Israel to Afghanistan.

2. Tell the Israelis that when they pull back behind their UN established borders we'll consider giving them some aid again.

3. Form a National Assembly in Iraq as fast as possible, tell them to make up a list of "must do" projects, put the projects out for competitive bid and pay for those with Iraqi oil. There's Iraqis that know perfectly well how to sell oil. All it needs is some oversight so that some schmuck with a mustache doesn't use all the money to build palaces, statues and WMD. ;)
