Title: Gaps in moderation coverage
Post by: Chairboy on March 22, 2003, 08:18:50 PM
Howdy,

I've got a beef w/ the effectiveness of the moderation crowd currently in place.  It is difficult to convince my friends to switch over from Warbirds when I try to demo the game for them, and they see stuff like this in Channel 1.

Regards,

Chairboy

Hope you email stuff like that to HTC.

Can't get people like that out of the game fast enough.

I have to agree with you guys. This kind of stuff has really been getting on my nerves lately. Sure  I squelch chan 1 more and more but should I  have to? I think HTC has set pretty clear guide lines on personal behavior and some people just blatantly fail to comply or even worse feel the need to push the envelope night after night.
Hitech a while back you lowered the hammer on a lot of this stuff, maybe its time for some spring cleaning.

HTC this guy goopie also proudly claims he uses the HTC two week trial in the MA, and reformats his HD to re-use the trial over and over and thus play for free. While this may not be true, it does create some uncertainty for those other newbies in the MA.

He openly claims he is ripping you off, please deal to him.

I played another game with this guy.  He was banned several times for racist comments.

He's still in the game even now... continuing on his rants.  I think all the moderators have been terminated. I mean, how was this guy allowed to go on all day?!!!

I tried to say 'ass' on chan 1 and recieved a continued profanity warning. Something seems arse about face.

I don't believe there are any moderators in AH. This is based on
all the crap that is going on with Channel 1 lately, and no
action being taken (e.g. someone squelching these guys).

Last night a certain person started the crap on country channel.
Sure you could squelch the individual but then you'd have to
squelch everyone else responding.

I wish for three things:
1) perma-squelch
2) country squelch
3) real life moderators

LOL... I hope its not THE moderator...  if thats the case we need.... THOSE moderators in existence so that the MA can at least be moderated for closer to 24/7.

Me too, Ice.  But I have crossed the line in the past(not in the same manner) so I am hesitant "drop dime" for fear of being labeled a hypocrite.  The difference is:  I got muted..learned my lesson.

Perhaps it's just time for ch 1 to go away. Last night a couple of maggots were talking about trading vid files depicting the killing of our captured troops in Iraq. Disable ch 1 and these sewer rats will disappear.

He's changed his name a few times since then.

The kids 16, which explains a lot.

This has been taken care of folks.  However, in the future, I would appreciate it if we got an email about it.  Posting it on the bulletin board really does not expedite the handling of these situations.

Thanks for the heads up though.

Hi Gooss....  :)  To grab a screen capture, use Alt-S.  Then look in your Aces High directory for ahss.bmp files.  Use a program like PaintshopPro to reduce it in size and save in .jpg format (better for posting).   :)
