U.S has shot down a British Tornado plane.
Can't you guys get anything right? I was hoping that this WAR you guys would learn not to shoot at friendlies, guess I was wrong.
One reason why I would never fight in this war, you hafta watch what is behind you rather than up front.
Come on U.S, get it right.

Never been in a War Cherlie?
-
Also, they are investigating it. The RAF said it was possible the pilot was following the proper route after his raid or may have not been adhering to IFF standards.
-
Hope the crew is ok..
Sayin a prayer for them.
-
What he said. I'm glad one of us could come up with a decent post.

I for one think the Brits are highly underrated. These guys take higher losses per capita than they should, but keep on supporting us. Anyone who does not realise the effort and commitment of UK forces needs to watch "Bravo Two Zero".

We will when you guys stop crashing helos .

We will when you guys stop crashing helos .
What a ****ing idiotic thing to say.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

I think he was responding in kind to the idiotic post by Cherlie. In any case, it's good to have the Brits fighting along side our troops.

Notice Cherlie's post didn't anger him but mine did .
Oh and stop crashing into our missles too .

By far the most embarassing thing I've ever read.

Geez Cherlie....I guess we did it on purpose, right?
Accidents happen in war. There are a lot of things going on. Its impossible to prevent unfortunate events like this from happening. The thing to do now is come together and pray for the missing and dead and provide what comfort we can for their friends and families.
Or...you can post crap here placing blame.

Heard a report that the plane wasn't squacking friendly and they were unable to contact the plane and rules state to shoot down. Sadly the the system worked.
Pray that the three man crew is found unharmed.

I am sorry about the british loses and even sorrier that they are
friendly fire accidents. I think most Americans share this sentiment. I can understand you being upset about it, I am too and I am not british. Please remember we are not the only ones to kill allies in friendly fire in wartime. Also blame has not been assigned in this incident.

Cherlie's post, while inane and unwarranted, didn't disrespect the dead before they are even in their graves.
Oh and stop crashing into our missles too .
If your first post was childish tit-for-tat, what's your excuse this time?
BTW, a Tornado has two crew members. That's two families. Whatever the circumstances, please remember that when you make your next post.

I enjoy your melowdrama .

So far, to the best of my knowledge, everyone in my small community grieves for the loss of those allied with the U.S. as well as our own. More than one house here flies the flags of all who stand shoulder to shoulder with U.S. forces alongside "Old Glory". Everyone I know here also either prays or is outwardly concerned for the welfare of the Iraqi people.
Maybe it's different in Evansville, Indiana (or Cherlie's little part of it). Maybe there they give Cherlie a hard time about his nationality (I'm assuming, of course, that Cherlie is a Brit ... perhaps he's from another part of the world. If it turns out he's not either, then he probably needs to seek some serious counciling).

Was it one of the special edition Tornados that had a third seat for a reporter?
-
for whatever reason, the RAF plane did not have it's IFF transponder operating.

It is said that 70% of human communication is nonverbal.
I've been accused of being demasiado suave . I'm not sure if the gist of my message was subtle beyond Dowding's palate or he was just over eager for an opportunity to scamper to his rightous pulpit.
