Just saw one of our birds on the ground being played over and over on Iraqi television.  
I am deeply moved by the loss, and my prayers with the passengers, their friends and family.

that being said.....

I started lauging my arse off over the behavior of the Iraqi soldiers.  We control what? like 70% of the country, lost roughly a dozen men, and they are dancing around this bird going "we shot one!!! we actually SHOT one down" like it is some miracle from Allah.  These guys are just totally out of touch with reality.

We control desert. Worthless desert. And no where near 70% of it.

I'll feel a lot more comfortable when we actually have a few towns under our belt. I'm sure the coalition forces could take any town they wanted - its just a question of casualties, including civilian.

That helicopter is going to be destroyed soon..... I woudn't want to be hanging around it if I where those Iraqis.
