It has been a long way since I was playing AH beta with a screaming 60 persons online!

Guys, I didn't play AH for 3 weeks now, I will keep flying it from time to time with my squadies, especially for scenarios.

I have TONS of work, plus I fly FB on the little free time that I have. FB is offering me a lot in "pilot immersion" that AH cannot provide yet. As of today, HTC missed out in not allowing better damage modeling/graphics/personal skins/ CEM/ plus the gang of immersion factor compared to FB, and the "accurate FM" doesn't cut it anymore.

Along the years, I trully enjoy flying with the comunauty. The Thunderbolt was a handfull in a MA filled with avid turnfighters and late fast war monsters, but it was great to keep me out of boredom.
As far as I'm concerned, the 56FG grew to become the best squad as far as wingmen tactics by far. (Don't read me wrong here, a lot of awsome squads out there, most with a speciality (like the MAWs for capture, Assassins for indiv skills, AKs for teamwork ... but what I find specific to the 56FG is the ability to fly missions under a faily strict code/procedure and bring home most of his pilots with 3-7 kills each in a MA type environment).

I am lookign foward to AH2, in the meantime you guys will have the pleasure to humiliate me the few times I fly my P47 in the AH skies.:)

Damn.. Frenchy I HOPE all the poly science 101 w/franch and all didnt drive you away. Your a great guy.

The AH community just lost one of the best pilots ever and sertainly one of the best jugheads :(

Hya Frenchy:

I will never forget the night when I was defending v6 in the NDIsles map just before the Bish finally won the reset. You and (I think) Sancho stayed close by and everytime I called for help, you guys were there almost instantly - almost like you were waiting for my call.

Anyway - Frenchy, hope you're not gone for too long - have fun and take care

Will miss seeing you up Frenchy. You've always been a class act in my book. Really enjoyed flying with you and the 56FG. You're about the best if not THE best jug pilot I've seen. >S

Gonna miss ya my friend.  Will always remember our Jug battles, especially the ones we had right HTC introduced the D-30.

My "Frenchy Story",, by RV6

It's Sat morning & I figure to sneak in one quick flight while the tribe is saddling up for the shopping trip.

I'm in a Spit-IX, all alone, hi ovr the water, approaching nme base 6 nm ahead.  One lo-slow dot takes off and heads out ovr water (towards me)..  No backup, no other planes anywhere!

The thing has got big broad wings, and wobbles in/out of stall, obviously HEAVY w/ bombs..

A BIG FAT P47,, Wallowing its way out at 100'AGL !!

I powerdive,, knowing that he's got nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, and no way to make me stop!

He does a slow coordinated turn, trying to head back to base ack (too far away! HA!)  Does not jettison bombs!

AAAAaaahhh~ YEah~  Mine, Mine, MINE!!

Zooming up his 6, right on the water...  he didn't even bother to jink!  He knows its' over, I know it's over...

1000' yds,,   900',, 800',, 700'  (leaning closer to the CRT),,  650',, (finger takes up slack on trigger) 525',, 400'!!   350!!!!!  The big jug literally FILLS THE HUD!..

Wifes' sour, reddened face pops in front of screen.. and yells:

ARE YOU GONNA PLAY THIS STUPID GAME ALL DAY!  I AM AT WITS END WITH YOU!!!!

KRASH, SPLASHO~ (into the drink goes my Spit)

"SYSTEM: Frenchy has shot you down"

He then issues this to me on CH-1

"Hey RV6?  I filmed that, you want me send you a copy?"


I'm now writing this message from state prison. Guess why?

awww Frenchy .... as one of your continual adversaries in said virtual skies.. you will truly be missed.

those times where i would see a lone high p47 or you'd see a lone high Dora... i think we both knew what we were in for... a great fight :)

i almost called out on CH1 last night asking if anyone had seen you lately.

well as stated you are truly THE class act everyone in the AH community should aspire to be. best of luck and i really hope to fly with you again soon!
