The Iraqi's, using a tactic developed in wars against neighboring countries, attempt to distract attacking forces by launching soccer balls and hoping for spontaneous soccer matches to break out.  While this tactic was somewhat successful against attacking British forces, the Iraqi's failed to apreciate the U.S. hatred for the sport.  The retaliation was sure and swift.
