"Coalition aircraft are attacking a large convoy - of about 70-120 Iraqi tanks and armoured personnel carriers - which has moved out of the southern city of Basra, heading south-east towards the al-Faw peninsula."
Iraqi's attacking our flank and disrupting our supplies and relief efforts is becoming more of a problem than the front-line battles.

It's a bit brave isn't it? I mean, I'm sure they might make gains initially, but all the Coalition will do will is bring in the A-10s, Apaches etc and they'll be cut to pieces.
I'm very surprised they'd try this.
Latest news is that the column has been engaged by aviation.

well thats 70-120 tanks the US/UK won't have to worry about after today.

Fingers crossed for the units the breakout first reaches. I just hope it's an armoured group.
