Title: Any Audi A4 or A6 owners out there?
Post by: Wanker on March 28, 2003, 07:34:40 AM
I'm looking at buying a used A4 or A6, in the range of a 1999-2001. I like the sporty handling of the A4's, but I just test drove an A6 last night, and was impressed with the ride & comfort.

Any thoughts from current or past owners of these vehicles are appreciated. Basically I'm just looking for opinions on whether to go for the A4 or the A6.

Thanks in advance.

Carefull with any of the older A-6s.  They were woefully underpowered.  The 2.8l in those really sucked.

Yeah, I noticed that about the 2000 A6 2.8L I drove last night. It didn't have much low end torque, although once I got into the 40-50mph range it wasn't too shabby. It's a very nice car for just cruising around, though. Love the interior and especially the dash and the red interior lights all over the place. I currently drive a 1996 Saturn SL2..... so I'm looking for something larger, safer, and more stylish.

GSholz, Bimmer's are very nice cars, but I had to make concessions to "she who must be obeyed" in order to get the official spousal seal of approval. Believe me, it took me a long time to get her to agree to a newer car like an Audi!
