btw Toby Keith was all set to sing this song to lead off ABC's 4th of July  American music Celebration, when word came down that Peter Jennings vetoed it because the lyrics were 'inappropriate'

Yeah, I saw an interview with a politician there (sorry, I'm really not up on Canadian politics, so I don't remember his name or title) from the Opposition Party.  He was expressing his displeasure at the Canadian PM and his staff's actions/comments.

Apparently, the PM announced his retirement.  Therefore, he's obviously not concerned about political backlash, so he's saying/doing whatever he wants.  It seems as though most Canadians are in disagreement.  Except possibly Quebec, but they don't really count anyway.
