folks from the United States of America , we admit we need Frances help with the war against Iraq,... we need there help in teaching Iraqi's how to surrender, hey after all France is the world's expert in this;)

....like a toothache.
From "60 Minutes" tonite:
PRESIDENT CLINTON: Universal health care. Rebuilding the nation's schools. Repair of the road and rail networks. Sounds like a Democratic domestic agenda, right? Actually, it's the Bush administration's plan for the re-construction of Iraq. Now, I'm all for rebuilding Iraq when Saddam's gone. But it's ironic that Republicans don't have plans to stop the rise of Americans without health care. They're not funding the "leave-no-child-behind" education bill. They want to cut 500,000 kids out of after-school programs. They've already eliminated school-repair funding and the program to put 100,000 more teachers in our schools. Let's invest in Iraq and America. We can't be strong abroad if we're not strong at home.
SENATOR DOLE: As far as I am concerned, Mr. President, the one who should be worried about his health care is Saddam Hussein. It amazes me that at the very time the country is uniting behind our troops overseas, you are suggesting ways to divide us at home. You can't have it both ways. This week, you say President Bush is not spending enough on domestic programs. Next week you'll be all over him on the deficit. There will be plenty of time this year to debate Medicare reform, tax cuts, and our energy strategy that your friends in Congress continue to block. For the moment though, our country's focus should be on Iraq, not Amtrak, on POWs, not HMOs. The education Americans care about most right now is how fast we can educate Iraqi soldiers to say ‘I surrender.’ Hey, maybe there is a role for the French after all.
Bob Dole. Kansan. Funny guy, Bob Dole. :D

Would u laugh about this bad joke too if I would say that they dont need the french to teach them cause they have the US POWs from which they can learn the same? I guess not and i would never make such an ugly joke!
Its disgusting and u guys should think about what u post. What if a french veteran reads all this?
-
yes, we should distinguish between the hypocrisy and obstruction of the Chirac government (which has probably cost us a month of good campaigning weather, therefore probably some troops lives) and the entire French people past and present.
BTW 4,000 Canadians marched in support of the US on Saturday and against their government's failure to join in the war effort. Go! Canada!

Its been told that now that the war has begun and young guys are dying, the best thing we can do is pray for them and hope that it can end quickly.
So it is unbelievable to me how some people still continue in those dirty disrespectful jokes against France and others who are not lined up with what they think is "the right way".
Who lives in a great country has the right of feeling proud of it, but has the duty to contribute to the greatness of his country with his behaviour.
On this BBS seems more than one has a lack of this..........:(

Screw France. They are a "has been" world power. Just like Germany. Just like Russia. It's funny how the countries that cry the most about going to war in Iraq, are the ones that violated the sanctions imposed by the SC
They should get the boot.
or not.
Who cares, we'll do what we please anyway. The US always does what they feel is right, with or without the support of countries that don't really matter anyway.

What you precieve as arrogance is what I consider confidence.
Big difference.
-
