Got the heads up on this mod from a squaddie - its a hell of alot of fun.

The mod is still an Alpha, but it looks promising, and plays great.

SImple premise - new models/skins for modern weapons - M1 tanks, M16A2, M249, AK47, RPK, AH64, MiG29, F16 etc.  

Not even close to realistic, but it plays much better than BF1942 - Im not sure what adjustments the modders made, but I cant find much to complain about.

(Fun to shoot Iraqi's too)  :D

This is interesting.  I might have to give it a shot.  Now if only someone could do a fun little modern-day flight sim in a desert campaign I'd really be persuaded to fly AH less.

Bump - newest Alpha is being released this weekend (or Wednesday for FilePlanet subscribers).  Looks amazing - a host of new improvements and additions.
