do you know what this dynamic text file in the AH main directory is?

shift.txt  ??

right now it stands at 1.3megs... ouchy...

what's it for? do? necessary?

if you know that is?

It looks like it keeps track of players around you.  Maybe it wouldnt be so damn big if you stoped furballing :D

holy crap... I wonder if this is the log file that HT was talking about implimenting... gonna go check it out.

Ah... just took a peak at it...

It appears to be some kind of updater for when you view films.  If I had to guess... it is a log so the film viewer knows who and where people are even if you fast forward or rewind through a film.  If you recall... this was an achilles heel for the film viewer previously.
