Title: 9./JG 52 is "recruiting"
Post by: wetrat on April 02, 2003, 05:15:13 PM: If you've been at this a while and are looking for a 'lax 109 squad, give me a shout and we'll see how it goes. I'm just looking for a few (maybe 4 or 5) good wingmen who like to fly 109's (G2 in particular :)).

How did you do the block-effect behind the nice lettering, and what font is that?

(in Photoshop 6+)
1) Copy the text and the area of the background you want the blocks on
2) Create a new image, paste the area you copied
3) Duplicate layer
4) go to filter->pixelate->mosaic... I think I used 0.1 for mosaic
5) Reduce opacity to 50%
6) go to filter->sharpen->sharpen 3 times

And I'm not really sure which font you mean... tell me which image it's on. But if you mean the font I used for the "9./JG 52" and "I am not a dweeb," it's a font called "Monotype Corsiva." I'm fairly certain that font came with this OS.. don't think I downloaded it.

Post by: moot on April 06, 2003, 08:25:46 PM: I quite well remember killing bugeaf P38-D9 0-3 over the W sea of ndisles, and thinking this guy is just crapola, after seeing kappa and lazer in 38s and then trying out the plane for myself and understanding it's such an easy plane to kill D9s in..

and it's as butt ugly as a lowrider caddy.
