can we get this for AH? :)

LOL-got one in the garage.About 6' long....shoots not quite, but close to 1/6th of a mile.Lotsa fun out in the countryside.
You can build a six footer for about $45.
One caveat-Shooting one off in the city limits is considered the same as shooting off a gun.I only aim mine over open fields,or water, and outside city limits. You do NOT want to aim it at anyone. Not ever.
It's impressive-shoot it at 30' into a boulder or large tree and you won't even see it leave the barrel-just a big ol' wet mark.
-
From a 32 y./o white male born and raised in NYC.....
WHAT THE H3LL IS THAT?!?!
-
potato gun
used to fire large objects at each other, counts for fun herabouts.
-
muck, it's a west of the Alleghenys thing. like blowing up trees for fun ;)
-
I wonder how far it would shoot a cat?
-
I'm lost.
So you build this...thing...and load it with explosives and...err...launch things out of it?
-
muck, you place a potato down the muzzle, open the breech, spray in hair spray as a propellant and ignite it with a built in striker. I used one to get rid of frogs that had invaded my swimming pool a couple of years ago.
mine was made out of PVC and was only about four feet long, but man o man it could put half a dozen frogs into orbit at a time.
-
Is it Perked?
:D
-
we use hair spray and the ingiters out of gas grills.
you can wire the whole thing up and sharpen the end of the pipe so you just poke it into the potato.
you can use um as a sabot for a cross bow bolt also :)
hint .
get the heavy pvc.

man you are getting robbed, you can build one for 14 bucks if you shop at lowes:D
I have one that shoots one over the pond. Only thing I paid was 1.50 for the striker. (I know some turdherders) Ammo is more expensive. The 99 cent hairspray is the best propellant

we put a tater thro a piece of 1/2 osb plywood before.
its definitly a dangerous weapon.

a better propellant is Ether or starting fluid as well you can use carb cleaners too but ether works the best!
Just a tip
Box
-
When not injecting ether into the end of a PVC tube that was surely designed to contain ether explosions, it is a good idea to keep it in the trunk of your black car.

Wow...that's where I bought all the components.I probably could have saved money, but I used the heaviest grade of PVC they carried, etc. The most expensive component was the gas grill igniter.
-
I'm gonna stay away from those...my luck I'll shoot one right through the grill of one of my town's police cruisers :)

We used to shoot frozen oranges through car doors.
Damn good fun but illegal here now. :(
-
Today the oranges...tomorrow the tomatoes
-
That's not a spud gun.
That's a Potato Howitzer.

looks like a potato 88 to me; that lake makes a wonderful target range for Magnum I bet

We were shooting one from a cabin, across the water at an island two years ago at Indian Lake Ohio....an old gent otw back to his cabin in a pontoon boat cruised between us and the island.
Danny yelled,"Hey,that zone isn't safe to cruise through! "(the old man saw us shooting it off).
He just looked up at us,grinned, and held a shotgun up for us to see, lmao.
