Most conservatives *I* know think of Rush as entertainment. And they can spell. ;)

Hey RUSH was cool, man. Weren't they Canadian? See? Oh Canada!
Oh .... you must mean that Rush Limburger guy I once heard telling people on the radio that ya can't catch AIDS from heterosexual sex. He should be shot or maybe sent to a gulag. Wait ... I'm not conservative.

read some history dude.
you may dissagree with the ideaology as do i. but to assign intelegence to a country based on limited knowlege of comunism pretty much reflects alot more on your intelligence theirs.

Questioning the intelligence of communists is incorrect. The Soviet Union, (although not a pure communist state in the Marxist ideal) was insane, not stupid.
"To each according to his need" is a fundamentally flawed concept in a technologically advanced society and that concept in a natural state causes sloth and crime. All one needs to do is look at what happens in a national park when wildlife is fed, rather than left on it's own to make their living.
Feed the bears, and they begin to live at the garbage dump and raid campgrounds. They become fat and diseased, and some need to be relocated or destroyed by park rangers.
Keep the bears fending for themselves, and they dine on elk, venison, and wild berries.
Apply this wildlife behavioral concept to people, and parallels can be found where government housing projects show some of the highest crime rates.
You do not have to look at the Soviets to see illustrations. The US county which has the deepest poverty, is traditionally the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota, where the government programs which “care for the Native Americans” have resulted in decades of abject poverty. Only with casino gambling has a semblance of self-reliance started to chip away at the tribal dependence on government and even the profits of the casinos tend to in large part go to off reservation shareholders.
Changing Pine Ridge to a vibrant economy will take hard choices, and the hardest but most vital choice will ultimately be cutting the umbilical to the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
The socialist mindset tends to keep throwing more government programs to solve the problems of the downtrodden, and in effect feeds the bears. Then when the problems do not alleviate, the problem was the program wasn't large enough.
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results!"

Look around this world we made
Equality our stock in trade
Come and join the Brotherhood of Man
Oh what a nice contented world
Let the banners be unfurled
Hold the Red Star proudly high in hand

Are you from the US? Is english your first language? What grade level is your education?

Vader, you really should refrain from making ANY comments on intelligence. Based on your painfully poor spelling, you're not exactly a shining example of brain power.

I think people from other countries recieves better education than people here in the USA and education in US is lagging. I have a filipino friend who imigrated to USA and she finds that:D high schools here in america is equivalent that of an elementary schools:D in the philippines because classes there are more advance. In the philippines, you are expected to master algebra at 5th grade and master trigonometry at 9th grade. Filipinos are also expected to learn english and 75% of the population there can speak english fluently.

I agree, to an extent.
I've lived in many countries, and noticed a few things.
In many countries, the education received is much better than a US public school. However, this education is often not open to everyone. A good portion of those populations receive no education at all, or a very inferior one. Before I get jumped on, notice I said many, not all.
There are many problems with the US education system. Underpaid teachers, being one. Another is that our education system IS open to everyone. Due to the rules teachers must adhere too, classroom time is often spent maintaining discipline, while trying to get information out that is understandable to the slowest 1/3 of the students. Smarter students generally (however not always) have to attend a private school to get the challenge they require. Unfortunately, this also means they have to be from a family that can afford it. It's rare you can be poor, and receive a top education, regardless of your intelligence.
Perhaps we should put discipline back into the classroom.
Of course, I'm speaking of education below the university level.

Im also afraid that the best and the brightest people who really work hard for their degree will immigrate to USA and strip our jobs but the productivity of the company that you used to work in will increase by as much as 200%.
