I think that one is over weathered. It just doenst have the tone right.
-
thats "Sevastopolsky" in Cyrillic cursive on the side. Most American equipment used by the Russians was shipped through Persia and used in the southern portion of the Eastern Front, including a lot of B-25's and A-20's.

The amount of detail that guy put into that B25 is incredible. That model is also a first place winner at an IPMS show too.

dang! realy beautifull!
I just started weathering my models after 8 years building (I'm 15) and I must say I'm doing a pretty good job, but afcourse not as nice as this one!

Actually, the exterior is weather correctly but he forgot to weather the interior to match - and that takes a lot of talent!

'overweathered'. hehe you guys are funny.
hehe i used to build models when i was a kid and weathering was always part of the skill.I know what you mean by overweathered but sheesh can you imagine this guys face if you said that to him.Must have spend a huge amount of time making this and along comes one of us 'never won a prize in their lives' critics and smash his work :D
that really made me chuckle.Reminded me of those days long ago in school etc.Good memories of dissing anyone elses stuff purely because you didnt make it lol :p

Skin Panel marking is incorrect on the side.

My first tank model, just recently completed. My next two are already on the work bench.
This is a Panzer IV, sold by Revell AG as part of a tank kit with soldier figures, but what I learned AFTER I finished is that the kit is a Matchbox 1/76 scale kit with Revell's 1/72 scale soldiers. Needless to say, the soldier I was going to use as a tank commander wouldn't fit through the hatch!
The kit itself was a joy to build, though the vinyl tracks are a bit noticeable. The diorama base with the cow skull came with the kit and I photo'd it sitting on the sunroof of my 4runner. The other photo is a sand patch where my gutter empties out onto the lawn and killed the grass.
The tank is painted Afrika Mustard with Dark Tan patches and a wash of Leather Brown to bring out the texture and make it look slightly dirty. The tracks are the silver vinyl out of the box with a wash of flat black. Testor's Dull Cote to keep the decals from wearing off.
(edit) Ok, Yahoo Photos will only let me share albums, so let me try this URL.
