Title: AHers in combat?
Post by: funkedup on April 08, 2003, 03:23:22 AM
Do we know how many of "our guys" are "over there."
Maybe we can get together and cover the AH charges for these guys for a while?

I'm sure that if any are there, they are too busy to be flying. But I like the idea. Maybe Hitech could devise some sort of Military Discount.

I know one but I'll let him tell it when he gets back. We were flying when he "got called up to go". We said take care and havent heard anything since.

I havent seen usarmy in a while and I am sure hes hard at it some where over there.

I'm talking about after they come home, or if they have kept their accounts active while they are overseas.

Anyone remember Durr?

I'm pretty sure he is over there in the heat of it.

Bet he'd love a few free months.

Yeah I figured Durr was awful quiet.  If you know what he does for a living, then you know he has probably been in the middle of things since the very beginning.

funkedup thats cool that you are thinking of them. two of my room mates play aces high and they are over there right now. i talk to them on phone every few days and ill pass on your good wishes. i gotta say though that if theres a way to link player real name to player aces high name i would not list player aces high names of people who are forward deployed in iraq or anywhere where combat is possible.
Title: 2 Squaddies

1 U.S. Marine AH Callsign "BLK-1" based out of MCAS Miramar flying as a gunner on a helicopter.
1 Canadian Navy Sailor callsign "Hawser" manning their canoe.

Had some correspondance with BLK-1, he's doing well and is on the Connie right now.  Hawser's canoe is somewhere doing something.  (His "Canoe" is in actuality some type of missile destroyer, but we'll call it  canoe)  Hope they come back safe and soon.

Wpnx in our squad is SO....can't tell ya where he is, but suffice it to say there is alot of sand there.

The 13th covered him in regards to AH....good idea though.

I hope he makes it back and soon....our squad misses him alot.
