Thirty British servicemen have died in Iraq since the war began 20 days ago.
Nine have been killed in action, the others were the victims of accidents or friendly fire.

I really dont think its very different from past conflicts, the press just goes digging for it and the military admits it.

Also you have to consider the ratio of outgoing fire. There's a lot more coalition steel flying around out there than enemy steel.
