I thought for sure Iran would have a revolution because of what has happened in Iraq:(

The Shi'tes are already in power there. I doubt the moderate intelligentsia have the support to do anything.

Actually, theres a growing middle class thats younger and has a more liberal attitude toward the west. However, the mullahs still run a tight ship. The Iraqi Regime is hated by Iranians not just because the are shi'ites and not Arabs but because of the Iraq Iran war.

They are equally upset at the west, including the US for helping Saddam during that time. They would be happy that Saddams gone. They will be equally suspicious of the US intentions in post war Iraq. If we end up hanging around and running the country then it may polarize the extremists in Iran and through out the muslim world.

If we allow the Iraqis to set up their own democratic government, with the leaders of their choice and it becomes a success it may pursuade the middle class in Iran to push toward a democracy of their own.

Either way it  will be a long time before any real changes come to Iran. It wont be a "revolution" that happens overnight.

Whatever happened to the Iranian war-hero college professor who spoke about a new interpretation of the Koran, and ended being arrested on a capital offense for it by the fundamentalist Iranian leaders?

A revolution in Iran is a very real possibility.  Will it happen - yes, I think so.  Will it happen soon?  No.

Im interested in how many of the arab nations will behave after this action.

Little things like the complete lack of any terrorism anywhere in the world during the course of this war, not a single American attacked in any Arab state, and more demonstrations in SoCal than in Saudi Arabia.

Hell, even Al Jazera carried a CNN feed for awhile - the statues coming down, people dacing in the streets - I think the repercussions of this military action in Iraq will be positive - I have a funny feeling GWB accomplished much more than the liberation of Iraq in the last two weeks - we'll see.
