George W Bush :Harvard, Master of Business Administration
:Yale University, bachelor's degree, history
He must be a complete moron and he must not know history.
-
And Clinton is a rhodes scholar, what's your point?
-
Whats your academic background NUKE?
-
what was his dads school? lol and what was his grade average?
-
Sixpence.. I don't think Clinton's intellect came into question much.. I believe it was his complete lack of a value system, his absolutely hedonistic approach to life, and his disregard for the sanctity of the office of the President that caused him grief.
dorf Vader... what the heck does his dad gave to do with this thread? You can't bash his education/intellect.. well at least not accurately, so you bring up his dad? lol

How can you be sure hes the only one?
It's not like every such thing comes to daylight :P

What about GWB military record ?
-
GWB's "military record" aint much to brag about. However, his Won-Lost record as Commander-In-Chief" is pretty good .
Slick Willie's "military record" is defined as "war protester/Communist sympathizer". His record as Commander-In-Chief" is best judged by the disgust felt towards him by the majority of the members of the Armed Forces.
However, as uninspiring as GWB's military record may be to some, i'm willing to bet GWB can out-fly and out-shoot Slick Willie in REAL air-to-air combat......

How much did he pay for that degree?????
But i bet he can read and write now.

Well, that's a 2 way street. Bush's financial dealings aren't exactly on moral high ground either. As a matter of fact, I think it's considered illegal.

Frog,
The college you went to may have worked that way (If you went) however Yale and Harvard do not. They have academic standards much higher then that and to allow a somewhat wealthy (remember his dad was just a business man at that time) father to "buy his son a degree from one of these colleges does not happen. Just the standards to get in are very stringent and plenty of wealthy prospects are turned away ( I have family proof of this).
Please don't talk out of your a@# just to be heard as when you do it makes a small squeaky sound and my dog gets upset.

Am I to believe this from a man who can't spell college?;)

Please state facts and what charges have been filed don't just throw opinions around like they are the gospel.
btw Thanks for the spelling tip, was only on first cup of coffee.

The selling off of his oil stock the day before it went bellie up...ala martha stewart. That's a fact, not opinion. If you want to say nothing was proven, then you must believe O.J. too.

What are you talking about? It's time you libs start backing up your comments with facts. You demand it of others and what is good for others applies to yourself, doesn't it?

O.J. wasn't guilty either.
http://www.onlineathens.com/stories/090700/ele_0907000033.shtml
Bush has said he had no knowledge the Texas-based company was going to report a $23 million loss two months after he sold his stock. ''I absolutely had no idea and would not have sold it had I known,'' he said during his 1994 campaign for governor.
Bush served on three committees inside the company and also was paid as a consultant
Ya, ok
Ya, I know, this proves nothing:rolleyes:

Too bad you have to lie. Shows lack of character. Shows your lack of intellect. Shows you are pointless on this board. Moron, please leave this board for the adults. Go take a nap or play in the traffic.

What a bunch of whiners....personal attacks on our President, then his father when the first stab doesn't work.
Criticize his performance all ya want...the personal things make you sound like spoiled children....worst part is that you don't realize it. To coralate a college education or GPA with the level of effective leadership once in the Oval Office, is laughable. Common sense, leadership, convictions for what is right....without those qualities, the ability to lead and direct our nation or your local convenience store is no different....Clinton was living proof of that.
He'll be in for another four years....how will you malcontents handle that?

The internal corporate documents, released by the Securities and Exchange Commission, provide the most detailed view yet of Bush's knowledge of Harken Energy Corp.'s financial problems when he sold his shares for $848,560 in June 1990.
Bush's lawyer said Wednesday the information, while new to the presidential campaign, was provided to the SEC as part of its investigation a decade ago and contributed to the agency's finding that Bush's trading was appropriate.
''The SEC did their job by the book, and this is old news,'' attorney Robert Jordan said. The Bush lawyer added that ''the company's financial situation was well-disclosed to the public'' through filings at the time with the SEC.

Now what was your point?
''the company's financial situation was well-disclosed to the public'' through filings at the time with the SEC.
No insider stuff here.
Now what's your point?
The only point I can see is the one on the top of your head.

Hey, martha stewart was on the up and up too, so was O.J.
He got away with it. Spin it as you like.
You can tell me what a moron I am at the con.
-

Yeah, you are just too smart for me
-
you dont have to be real smart to be able to kick someones ass.
btw you never had a parent/family member hook you up with a job? :)
-
Well, I made 45k last year. Not rich, but it gets me by.(got the job on my own) Plz don't kick my bellybutton sir, plz!
-
sorry, dude. didnt mean to imply kick your ass, was talking about the pres and the current job he is doing.
my dad helped me get a job in high school once, unfortunately all the stroke he had was at the Coop cotton gin, baling cotton.
-
No offense, I get it from my wife everyday.;)
I don't argue with what the prez has done. I just replied to dealings of one prez as to the other. I don't think either one walks on any moral high ground IMO.
Actually, I was quite surprised when he initiated changes in financial dealings and stiffer penalties on fuzzy accounting. He was seen as a hypocrite for doing this, but I give him credit for having the balls to do it. It needed to be done to restore faith in the stock market.
Sorry to hear about your dad.
-
I'm not as old as a bunch of the guys that hang out here, but I have learned that you don't climb to the top of anything without stepping on some backs.
mebe thats whats going on with the finacial reforms.
The main diff. between Clinton and GW, to me, is the fact that GW might not be the best guy in the world but atleast he dosent do his laundry in the street.
-
what was his dads school? lol and what was his grade average?
I'm curious towd, have you graduated from a college?
Wab
-
don't you have to graduate to be considered a "rhodes scholar"?
GWB was a fighter pilot... it takes some brains to do that I would think. I bet martin sheen and shawn penn couldn't do it. Clinton either.
lazs
-
Qualifications mean very little in all actuality. I've known some very clever people with lots of academic qualifications, but with no common sense at all.
-
Lasz,
If memory serves, Clinton never finished his work at Oxford. He attended for more than a year. There was a program about this several years ago; sort of a short biography of Clinton. One of his Oxford dons stated that each Rhodes Scholar had a list of literary works to read as preparation for some type of final (Sorry, dont remember many of the details). He further stated that the number of books that Clinton read was unremarkable; the bare minimum. Clinton later transferred to Georgetown University.

You outright state what he did was illegal, while the SEC says it wasn't. Thank god they don't let idiots make emotion/prejudiced based rulings without the presence of facts.

the ivy league schools use the term gentlemens C for a reason. These schools use a form of affirmitive action as well. for someone that had to use it to get into his daddys school he shouldnt be knocking it for other people. oh and he did a great job protecting texas from the vietcon, and going awol .

If, in my opinion you are, then I most likely will call you one, did I detect a bit of a threat in your statement?
What would you do in this event?
On the other hand I might find I like you, in that case I will buy you a drink.
I however don't fear your reprisals in the event of the former.
get my drift?
-
I don't think I threatened anybody. Matter of fact I don't think I've called anyone names either.
Sure, i'll take that drink.

Hell, yes !
Just comin from a private party.
Visitors were much younger than me , most between 25-30 i guess.
None of them ever joined one of the anti-war demonstrations in Berlin.
Was astonishing, though, how well informed most of them were about this Agression War and it's reasons.
They told some jokes that showed exactly what he is: A caricature :D
Regards Blitz
btw He's dangerous but as long as young people laugh about him nothing is lost :)
