Ohh, and seeings that there is no proof for either side, like it really matters to liberals anyway, lets just invade France and Germany too!

Entirely possible. France's tendancy to sell weapons to anyone with cash - no questions asked - makes this a very likely situation.

Now... how does that absolve France of responsibility?

I can think of one situation where America gave something considered to be an advanced weapon to fight the Russians (the rememberance of Vietnam ran deep)... though nothing like stockpiling air missile defense systems nor long range missiles / anti-ship missiles.
