This looks like it's going to be a lot O' fun,but I haven't seen anything about how it's going to go...so...
A suggestion???
Could we fly this event with the winner being the pilot who scores the most kills?...
Everyone turns on the film and the best fighter pilot(most kills) wins $500!...(maybe have 1 kill bonus for being the last surviving pilot?)
I would like to see the $$$ go to the most fearsome fighter dude than the one who avoids fites.
What do u guys think?..Pyro?

Well since it was based on Attack,Bomber, Gv and fighter. It should be based on all 4. 20k destory city for bombing, duels in fighters and tigers , and 110's attack on a city most damage wins.

Never had to duel in GV's to get in the Top 15.

Well even though I do think a kind of "Aces High Olympics" would be way cooler and much more fun than a simple KOTH shootout, I somehow doubt most people would agree. :(
As I'm sure will be stated by the nay-sayers, Aces High is about air combat.

Never had to climb to any alt or duel in gv's to get rank... or attack a town in a 110.

Best you could do is kills/time. Still it would just promote pure vulching/furballing like it does now...

Maybe something like KOTH would be cool. Just hope have the ability to be in arena looking through God-view. Could be fun to watch.

I totally disagree. Something *like* KOTH is already in existance and is called KOTH.
Yeah, fine, ok, it's all about air combat (I guess, hadda do a lot more than *just* air combat to get into the top 15 though.....) but do we really have to copy an existing event?

AH "Olympics" would be a hoot!...Have several "events" like trying to land a fully loaded CHog on a CV deck,or have to fly through 2 hangers in 1 pass..etc

Well yeah but maybe slightly more difficult. I mean, we're all top 15 pilots and so I'm pretty sure none of us would have a huge problem with a CV landing (I can land a loaded hog backwards on a CV incidentally) and flying through hangers.......
The Olympics I had in mind would test various aspects of the sim that we've all done in order to score in the top 15 anyway. Of course there'd be an A2A section (both furball AND 1v1 tourny), A2G jabo, A2G bombing, some kind of GV test (dunno what yet), maybe an air race, William Tell style......know what I mean?

What I'm trying to say here is that we all hadda do more than *just* fly fighters in order to reach the top 15. If we base the $500 prize on whoever the best fighter pilot is then either Fester or Wildthing will win it every quarter and pretty soon no-one will really be interested in turning up for the showdowns......asside from Fester and Wildthing that is.
Besides, some people are waaay better at jabo work than A2A and got into the top 15 by the bare minimum of air combat work. It would be a shame to exclude those people from the possibility (besides by one hell of a lot of luck) of winning the big prize.

Sounds like a true shootout....most kills in 3 rounds win...none of that jabo buff stuff.

I'd like to see a single elimination tournament, not a grand melee style that decides it. Course, 60 people doesn't really divide evenly, 64 would be much simpler.

Theres a post explaigning the method the top score potatos will compete.3 20 Min flights most kills wins. Its under Pyros announcments page.Congrads to CdogBOP one hell of a guy and one of the few from personal experiance I would say that didnt hang people out to land kills thereby gaining a spot in the great circle jerk in the sky.Did any of you "lesser" pilots ever think how long Joe Score potato will concider dropping alt to help you with a 2 on 1 before he decides to land his precious scalps in the pursuit of 50 simolians?Probebly 2 secionds followed by a hearty well meant F@$# him.This was a BAD idea on HTs side IMHO.

K/D doesn't count as score
accuracy and kills per time seems to most important to get in the scores.
Anyway a number one rank means nothin and i'm afraid for none off them.
Championship is totaly crap.
