What flat panel monitor - TFT would be the best to use for AH.
I would like to still run 1024X768 or better. Any personal suggestions or recommendation would be much appreciated.

LCD monitors (TFT, HR-TFT, STN, etc) are usually not ideal for gaming. They all have an issue with ghosting, meaning that an image persists for longer than it should. In fast moving games this can be very distracting.
In AH this effect is not as distracting as other games.
There are some LCD monitors out there (very expensive ones) that are MUCH better than others in this regard.
I think Tom's Hardware http://www.tomshardware.com was doing a lot of LCD reviews at one point. You may want to take a look there.

http://www4.tomshardware.com/display/20030221/index.html is one of their more recent reviews. Pay particular notice to what they call "afterglow". LCDs out there are going to have response times between about 16ms to 25ms. The 25ms models have very noticable ghosting when watching TV or playing games, etc.

I've been hiding in front of a computer drawing schematics for the past couple months. Once I finish up this product cycle, I'll try to log some AH hours again. :)
