Gentlemen...care to battle tonight?
Let me know the best times for you and your preference for servers and maps.
Make sure you dl Roger Wilco...someone else should host the voice session, it doesn't make any sense for the guy who lives on a small island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean to do so. You can send the rest of us an e-mail with your IP address.
Dowding...it is going to be tough trying to schedule a get together around your time zone. Maybe next weekend we can get a daytime game going. This will be the first try so I'm not expecting us to be working well together yet...so its a bit of a tester for all of us.
I will be changing my handle in BF1942.
Look for BigJohnson. :D

Curval, how does 9:00 Eastern sound? That would give us a couple of hours before the event formerly known as the TOD. I'll host RW, since I'm on a cable connection. If everyone who wants to participate could send me their email address at dahlen@charter.net then I'll send out my IP address for the RW session.
BigJohnson? Aw, cmon. The gag doesn't work unless you use your standard AH callsign with Johnson at the end! ;)

9.00pm EST sounds good to me. TOD afterwards is a fine plan. I am flying Axis in that one..you? Last Friday didn't last long for me at all. I tried to bomb a destroyer and the ack hit my ailerons...I couldn't pull out of the dive..:) But, at least I took the heat off my wingman.

Ya, I'm Axis in this one as well. I got my but handed to me by Eagler of all people last week. I'm not much of a 109 driver, as was all too painfully obvious last week! ;)

My buddy here is "in" tonight. That is 3 of us so far. His callsign was jonboy (in BF1942...he doesn't play AH)...so he will change this to jonboy_johnson.
I sent e-mails to Stinger and Sunking...no response yet.
I doubt Dowding will be awake at 2.00am to start playing, so the max we will prolly have is 5.
But...even 3 of us could have fun.

Ahh darts...it was my unofficial "minor" in college. ;)
We will have a go tonight and see if anyone wants to play again on Sat or Sun....depending on how it goes, I guess. I have already informed "the one who must be obeyed" that I am playing tonight. ;)

This awesome program that lets you connect to servers running your favorite games. It also has a buddy list. I can add your names and within minutes it will show any of you online and the server you are playing on so I can join you. Of course you need to register the program to get the buddy function working in realtime and allowing more than 4 buddys to your list.

Hey guys,
That was alot of fun last night. Obviously it was our first effort and we really need to practice working together a bit...but I really enjoyed it.
At first it was chaos...spawning, running, dieing with regularity and very little co-operation, but as time wore on there was some good fights and a few laughable situations.
Big_johnson was hilarious last night...I watched him take a jeep and suicide into a couple of anti-tank guys who were bearing down on me. When he jumped out and was subsequently blown up by a tank shell his body must have flown about 50 feet in the air. I was worried his limp corpse was going to hit and kill me.
banana_Johnson was mighty handy on the fixed machine gun position. He was mowing guys down with that pig like no-one's business.
Stringer_Johnson is pretty damn good with the sniper rifle. He and I were perched on a hill sniping a base and he kept stealing my kills :) j/k. What happened at the end dude? You had some problems with that map? Did you relog and try again or quit for the night?
Now that we have a better idea of what the game is like and how tough it is to stay together we can start to get better.

It's official....I'm hooked on BF1942. That was so much fun last night! :D
We definately need to work on staying together and working as a team, but I think most of us were just trying to figure out how to play the game last night. It was a riot.
I had to log after a couple of hours, as "She who must be obeyed" was standing in the doorway asking when I was going to spend some time with the family. You know how that goes. :)

Well they had it at Best Buy last nite, but they wanted $50 bucks for it!!

$50 is less than I paid Sling...but I'm surprised it is still that high...it is a testament to the games popularity. Will you get $50 enjoyment out of it? Friday night was $50 worth of entertainment by itself. :)

There is no way to tell...servers fill up and go up and down regularly. Just hook up Roger Wilco, banana will e-mail or post the IP address, and we'll tell you which one we are in.

Sorry guys, going to have to cancel on you tonight. My 4 yr old son contracted some nasty stomach flu this morning, so it looks doubtful that I'll be able to make it tonight. If he stops throwing up by tonight, then maybe I can still make it, but for now don't plan on me being there.
Curval, if you guys go ahead and play tonight anyway, please email me the RW IP address. I'll try to make it if he shows some improvement.
And yes, 7:00 Central time is 8:00 Eastern. I live in the same timezone as HiTech Creations.

I played for a bit on the Market Garden map last night. I sniped a few guys from the church tower and then backed up knowing that as it was an EA server the bad guys knew where I was. I went behind the top of the stairs and waited with my hand-gun drawn. Sure enough the lambs came to the slaughter...:D Great fun.
