First is there any way to change the assigned IRQ with out pulling the card out and putting it into a different slot?
Second is iwhen i reinstalled XP PRO i some how set it up so it makes me choose from a list of whos loging on. During set up I only put 1 name in as im the only person using it ( my computer) is there any way to turn that stuff off so it goes strait to windows?

A feature of Plug-n-play hardware is that you should be able to re-assign the IRQ via software through the device manager, so yes, unless it's some vintage 1992 card.
I think I did the thing in item 2 once, but I can't remember how. Hopefully someone else knows.

Uhmm...some PCI slots are hardwired to use only one physical IRQ, which would require the card to be moved to another slot.
Sometimes you can chage the IRQ in the system BIOS for the PCI slot as well.
Depends on the motherboard.

Box,
That last .NET update to WinXP causes the login requirement. I installed it then went back and uninstalled all the .NET stuff.

You can download x-setup which lets you tweak out little things like auto-login and stuff. Makes your folders open faster etc.
Don't take me wrong, I don't support the use of XP by any means. I'm crying blood every time I have to go and fix puters with XP's installed. I think I'm gonna start to charge double for them :)
