Title: Wireless keyboard/mouse
Post by: Tarmac on May 05, 2003, 07:15:51 PM
Anybody using one?

I'm looking at the Logitech cordless MX duo shown here:

http://www.newegg.com/app/Viewproduct.asp?DEPA=1&submit=manufactory&catalog=63&manufactory=1080&description=&srchFor=mx

The MX mouse is supposedly better for games than Logitech's old cordless mouse.  I also like the rechargeable idea.

Input?

I've never liked cordless mice. Theres always been a noticable lag. Havn't tried an mx700 tho, they're suppose to be faster.

I have some mx300's and 500's and they're great for gaming and such.

I've been using the microsoft set (split keyboard, and optical mouse).

I've noticed no lag.  the only real problem is if you let the tower get between the mouse and the reciever you sometimes get problems. (although that is no worse than hitting the end of the cord on a regular mouse).

the only thing I really miss about my old keyboard is it had usb ports on the back, the where very handy.

I've been using an optical/cordless/rechargable mouse for about 9 months now. It's the most instantly satisfying piece of kit I have ever bought. (Made by Trust, cheap and cheerful but was the only optical/wireless/rechargable mouse on the market when I bought it)

You just need to remember to put it on charge overnight and keep a spare set of batteries for when you forget. Lasts all day with constant use and it's one less set of wires which can't be a bad thing. Love it, wouldn't be without it. Biggest difference between brands is probably the shape so go for the one that best fits your hand is my one nugget of advise.

I've noticed no lag at all BTW.

Never noticed any lag on the old MS cordless mouse, I've been using a MX700 for a few months and there is absolutely no log and I find it far more precise than any other mouse I've used. I chose it over another MS cordless one because the signal receiver acts as a rechargeable docking station so I don't have to fork out on batteries and as Whels said the battery life is very good.

Got it at work and I really like being untied from the area right in front of the monitor. The charge lasts a long time and seems to recharge quickly. I am getting the duo for my home in the near future.
