I think the idea of a hockey team from Anaheim is pretty fricking funny.  Throw San Jose, Dallas and any other Southern state into the mix on that one.

The players aren't actually FROM Anaheim.  :)
And they have this magic thing called refrigeration.

Awesome game...

Hopefully, Minnesota knocks Disney out of this.

Yeah... that refridgeration thing really paved the way for teams down south.  In the old days, they used to have to keep the arena below freezing.  Ya fricking no-cal dip****.

And the players aren't really from so-cal?  No ****?  Wow... I'd think that active pee-wee through farm-team hockey league system you guys have going down there would have generated a few recruits at least.

Its just funny that they have hockey in cities where they have to take a minute before each game to explain the rules of the game itself to the "fans".

Yes, as opposed to the super knowledgable hockey fans in the frozen tundra of Portland.  You guys all live in igloos right?

I'm missing that hockey team we have here funked.  At least we're not posers.

Hell... I remember everyone getting behind the Kings when they had Gretzky... of course, nobody follows them now.  Nobody really followed the ducks back then until they replaced Emilio Estevez with a real coach.  Of course... now that they're winning, even the No-Cal love muffines are fans.

I follow all the California teams.  The teams are here because we enjoy watching hockey and are willing to pay for it, unlike a lot of backwater areas with colder weather.  Sharks are the home team and I have a partial season ticket package.  Kings and Ducks were on TV every night when I went to school in San Diego, so I became familiar with the franchises, and will root for them if the Sharks are out.  Face it, California sports teams OWN.

LOL! you fricking poser.

Face it, you just thought the jerseys were cool.  Yeah... hockey was brought to cal because the people demanded it, not because someone just wanted to make a buck and decided alot of really stupid people lived there that would gladly hand it over to them.

Yeah... true hockey fans live in cali.  Yeppers, the hockey mecca of the U.S.  Hold onto those dreams big guy... eventually you may even be able to date one of the sharks.

Yes I am posing as a hockey fan.  I pretend I like to watch hockey so I can impress people.  I really hate it, but that's the price of being cool.

When you can watch hockey without asking "why did they blow the whistle again" to the one guy at the bar from Minnesota, then you'll be close to losing the "fricking poser" label.

Right now, most of no-cal only watches it because its as close as they can get to men's figure skating on a frequent basis.

Yes the rules of hockey are very confusing.  Our heads have been pumped so full of jism by all the gay sex we have in San Francisco that we can't comprehend the complexity of an esoteric game developed by inbred alcoholic farmboys on some godforsaken arctic wasteland.

The Ducks are playing pretty good hockey, but how could you bet against the Wild? After coming back from TWO 3-1 game deficits, they most have God on their side.  Literally.

Last year the Cinderella team was the Hurricanes, this year you have Ottawa, Anaheim, AND the Wild.   Yes Ottawa has been good in the regular season for several years, but perenially get their tulips kicked in first round of the playoffs.  Who'd have bet on THIS at the start of the season.

I'm a HUGE hockey fan, but if the NHL doesn't get a collective bargining agreement next season that includes serious revenue sharing and a substantial salary cap, the whole league is going down the ****ter.  The small market teams (including my favorite, the Penguins) are getting eaten up money wise.  There are at least 5 teams on the verge or already in Bankruptcy, and if I'm thinking right 3 teams (New Jersey, Colorado, and Detroit) have won 8 of the last 10 Stanley Cups.  Not a very interesting state of the game. :(
