Okay, so Jenna whined her way to a million dollars, Rob was voted the one to have played the game the best and Mathew was the most popular.
So, what are your thoughts on this survivor series???

I've never seen enough tigers, lions, pythons or cannibalistic natives in the Survivor series of programs.
-
People still watch that show?
-
rubbish.. survivor has nothing to do with surviving.
Although not sure how the burger generation sees it.. they're prolly amazed they survived it in first place, without all the chips, burgers, hotdogs, cokes... and TV/computer :D
-
I can proudly say that I have NEVER watched a single episode.
-
I enjoyed it.
-
Reality TV is both over-rated and a band-wagon that is running out of steam (excuse the mixed metaphor).
As soon as you realise that the editors are framing people into easily recognised characters with their...err... editing the whole concept loses its appeal. The first series of Big Brother I saw was kind of interesting though.

There was one reality show that was kind of interesting.. "The Great Race".. anyone catch this one? Teams of 2 people racing around the world. I enjoyed that one.

Yes, I enjoy it also ... as it doesn't depend on "emtional" responses of others to determine a winner - new race starting end of this month..
gotta agree with Fishu .. this survivor series was ruined by the "voting" of the "jury"
then again the director showed us the show which would produce the highest ratings - maybe matthew had a dark/crazy side that ended up on the cutting room floor - like Dowding stated
hmm agreeing with MT, Dowding and Fishu - maybe should sell tv :)

It's amazing that folks have nothing better to do with their time and their minds than to watch this sophomoric crap.

I stopped caring after Tina won in Australia, and stopped watching after the first episode of this one.
-
I watched the first one but after that I refused to watch anything that promoted lying and gays.
-
This was a fun series. The woman who won was underestmated by the guys. That blindfold challange was seriosly hard and she pulled it off. So under preasure she came on strong. And her answers to the jury were excellent. She never made a wrong step there.
I thought it was a good series. I opeted out of Thailand and Africa. But this one was good.
-
I was truly disgusted by the jury vote. I think it was based on the fact that Mathew admitted that he didn't need the money. Jenna floated along on everyone else's coattails for 36 days and then she pulls the rabbit from the hat. What a joke that she "deserves" the win.
I think the thing that made this episode interesting was the way in which the player that was seemingly the safest would brain fart their way into getting voted off.
Deana by turning on Alex
Alex by turning on or just being honest with Rob
and Christy, by acting like she didn't know who would get her "swing" vote.

Reality TV isn't. I choose not to support it.

I thought that was a Natalie Wood movie...

Is the Great Race the one where they have only 100 dollars to make it back to Britain from the middle of Tibet - and the first one to reach Trafalgar Square wins an ice-cream? Although it would be the American equivalent.
I saw something like that once, although I think they won 10 grand or something. The people were really, really annoying.
My favourite reality TV show took place on some remote Scottish island where a colony was set-up and people really did have to survive and work as a community. There was no 'game-show' element - no voting, money spinning phone-ins or anything like that. It was more a documentary. It lasted a year I think.
-
I might watch it if the person voted out was grilled on a spit then eaten by the remaining survivors.
-
I thought this thread was about Jenna Jameson :(

You guys are lucky, looks like these shows still have an overall theme.
here, we have "Nice Poeple", they just put a number of overgrown 'teens' (21 -> 30 y old) in a large cubicle (with tainted glass bathtubs)... and poeple watch it. I mean...
