Anyone know how to uninstall DirectX I think the 9.0 version on my Windows XP Home Edition is screwing a lot of things up...if so write back. Another question is...would there be a way to get DirectX 8.1 for Windows XP I've looked and I haven't found it anywhere...A Response would be greatly appreciated.

You didn't set a 'known good' version checkpoint before you installed DX9? Did you read the installation documentation where it says specifically that there is no uninstall procedure?

For older versions of Windows, there's a program called DirectX Buster that will blow away a DirectX install, but it doesn't work for WinXP.

I'm afraid that your answer is likely to be the ugly phrase 'reinstall Windows'.
