What is its ICON tag?

F4U or F4U4?

I've never met one in the arena, so I don't know which it is.  I end up treating every F4U I see as if it were an F4U-4 and hence am suffering against all the F4U's.

So what exactly IS the F4U-4 ICON tag?

The F4U-4 has a "F4U4" icon.

They aren't worth the perk price right now.

Everytime I up in one, I usualy have about 6 cons chasing me so bet your money on the one with a ton of cons chasing a normal F4U lol

I absolutely love the F4U-4.  I also agree with you that it should cost less than it currently does.  Twenty to thirty points sounds reasonable to me.

Same goes for the Arado and Ta-152.  Lower em, please!

As for special icons, its silly, isn't it? The 109s/190s/Spits don't have any special tags....

Hmmm... is there a way to visually distinguish the F4u-4 from the F4u-1C?  I think the main intention was to give people a heads up they are going up against a perked aircraft.

That's easy. Its the F4U that's going reeeallyyy fast.

But I agree, perk planes like the Tempest, 152 and F4U4 should NOT have their own icons. Visually its the same as the Tiffie, 190 and other F4U's.

I can easily tell the difference between the 109 versions when I fight them. Their flight characteristics and speed give them away. And I can usually guess what 190 im fighting most of the time.

So why perk icons for these planes?

Also, the La5 and La7 should have the same icon (just like Spit = spitV or SpitIX and P47 = all 3 jugs)... why? Visually they are identical!

Personally I think we should get rid og the plane identifying icons all together.
Yeah keep the distance thing under 1.5 and use the map radar.
Feels better.
And before u guyz tell me to just diable icons......
It ain't fair, for just one guy to keep guessing whether its a friendly or nme....

202/205 have identifying tags.

The only difference is one has 20mm cannons sticking out it's wings and the color of their camo.
