I need a wirelss LAN for 3 puters in my home. I have cable
internet,
What do i need, a wireless router? or a wireless server? or
are they the same thing? What is a good one, (not too expensive), and can the wireless do file sharing, and printersharing? I assume it can, but would like to be sure before
I invest.
Also, my aldest puter is 4 years old, does the PCI cards work for
most computers, even if the are older than the wireless
technology?
Thnx

If you are determined to go the wireless route, you'll need to purchase a wireless router, and wireless NICs for each machine that will be on the network. Linksys routers/cards are relatively cheap and seem to do the trick. I currently have a Linksys wired solution, and it's been rock steady for the 3 years I've had it.

Dont forget to turn on encryption if you go wireless...
