My ISP updated a while back which causes my FrontPage to have problems loading or modifying web pages. I'm told there is some file I need to get and am hoping someone may have some knowledge about this or can e-mail me the file/driver or whatever it is. The message I mostly get when trying to upload/modify a page is "server unexpectedly closed connection." It's really aggravating, though sometimes the page will finally go through and upload.

So... you upload via some sort of web interface?
Does your ISP offer FTP?
-
Now you are getting all technical on me! I spoke w/ my provider who stated I should call MS for some update to the Frontpage...well, uhm...errr...I can't do that. Just wondering if someone has that file available. :D
When I upload a page I do it to "ftp//....".

I'm sorry... I don't use FP, so I was just trying to understand.
IIRC, FP has the ability to upload to your server directly with a built-in file transfer protocol (FTP).
Did a quick check on San Diego Cox Net... found this:

You can try using an FTP client such as Cute FTP (http://www.cuteftp.com/cuteftp/) and just upload the files manually.

Use a decent editor.

There is no such thing as a "decent" WYSIWYG editor, IMO.
On the other hand, most people don't seem to have the time nor the inclination to learn HTML so FP can be a useful tool.

Dreamweaver is a step up from FP
It doesn't add all the FP MS overhead to your page by default but requires more experience in html than FP

Do yourself a favor. Learn how to write HTML on notepad and upload it with a FTP program.

Thanks for the tips. Really though, Frontpage works just fine for me. Uploading web pages is not integral to my life, but for an occasional Aces High screenie and things like that it's fine. I'll never impress anyone with my webs and I can live with that.
Sandman, thanks for that link and taking the time of looking into this for me. I haven't had the chance to read it but will soon. I'd been loading my pages for the past 1.5 yrs with no problems and then all of a sudden, my ISP makes some modification that gives my Frontpage headaches. The Cox tech told me they are aware of it and it's a Frontpage problem and you need to get some file downloaded from them to fix it. I'm sure I'll be able to find it sooner or later.
