... well at least until they get their act together. I purchased the game (non-returnable of course) Friday on the way home from work. Since then they have been down more than up, login servers are hosed and they evidently cannot fix the problem in any reasonable amount of time. Its a shame though as for the short amount of playtime I was able to get in this weekend it seems like a decent game that is getting screwed by its host (ubi).
Just makes me appreciate HTC and AH even more!

Sorry to hear that.  I would suggest avoiding Eve-Online until they fix some major bugs too.  Did no one learn from WW2OL? :(

I played the shadowbane beta for a couple weeks. Even without all the server problems they've been having I still wouldn't buy it. It got boring very fast for me. Maybe in a few months it will be worth buying.

Just want to echo Mickey1992's comment on EVE.  Lot's of promise (like most games) but released way too early (like most games).  I'm going to give it a good 6 months before I will even think about picking it up.

I quit over a month ago with some reasons being the unstable server situation plus some very fatal game design problems.....posted about it awhile back.

Planetside is still in beta, isn't it?  It is one of the few online titles that I have heard is actually ready for release.

I went to EB for lunch and I saw Shadowbane ($29.99) and Eve Online ($49.99!!!) together on the shelf and I thought, "poor consumers".

I got bored of planetside after a couple weeks too :confused: It probibly would have been more fun if my system wasn't a slow POS.

haha yep, got burned out on PS also.  I was addicted for almost a month, then it became the same thing over and over.  It seems every game out today is the same thing just in different colors.....grab gun, shoot bad guy.   Gimmie something new.

Dnil, thats probibly why I haven't actually bought a game in over 1 1/2 years. I play the demos or betas for a week and thats enough for me.

Too bad beta ended last night!  I will be buying this for sure... maybe in a month or so as to avoid burnout.
