Its not anywheres that bad but AH need some serious new life in the form of terrains.....thats fer sure and fer certain.

AH just hasn't had "THE" terrain yet (a terrain so good that people could play it day in and day out for 5 years and still be happy with it).

I'd design a terrain, except it'd be a 128 x 128 mile terrain designed for 150 people (I don't see the reason for cramming everyone into one MA).

ummmmm, i think i've said this before....but.......

I WANNA DESERT MAP!  I WANNA DESERT MAP!  I WANNA DESERT MAP!... (and it goes on like that for a while.   :D )

as far as the mindanao map is concerned, i LOVE the actual graphics, but the terrain itself, mainly all the bleedin' mountains, i have to admit, is not my favorite.  i just hate mountains (it's bad enough that i have to live where i'm surrounded by them, and then i have to "fly" around them on ah.  lol)

anyhoo...  i agree.  but, i still wanna desert map!  :p

If we are counting votes here. Please for the love of all good. Change the map. I agree that this current map needs to be deleted from all our systems. Should make a larger map or a smaller with 2 MA. I would vote for a larger map cause I would miss some of the people I have gotten to know in the MA.

Yep, please change it or remove it!   :(  I haven't played AH for the past week and it's all because of the Mindy map (mostly!)   ;)

Its a good map but as its so hard to win its on TOO LONG.

keep it just please limit any maps use to a set amount of days. please.

I have been loging the past few days because the map from h!ll is in play right now, I do like the look of the map it is beautiful, but it is furball central the fronts are two narow, just a couple bases realy and with the increased numbers in the MA it has resulted in one gianent furbal, this is compounded on this map  by a general lack of GV participation.
  Once I heard tail of Bigger maps being in the works, well I think thier time has come. we nead them now with the larger player base they would be put to good use.

I like the map too when it comes to fighters.. but not for buffs.

And it stays around too long and gets "played out".

And on top of that it really sucks when most of your country doesnt help finish the map by capturing one last field (*cough* a4 *cough*) to end the map (so what we would have lost the map...).

I don't want it elimanted from the map cycle.. but maybe have it included in every 3rd map cycle.

I like it. except......

You can't really use the ground vehicals in it. They can't climb the damn hills and mountains inthe terrain. This terrain totally takes the GV's out of the picture as far as threat to your base. I think Pyro should put in roads that let the GV's climb the hills and mountains. Even switchback roads for the big mountains. If your on a road it allows you to actually CLIMB a hill not bough down and roll backwards no matter what gear your in. I don't use GV's often but I sure hate to see them taken out of game due to mountains and hills.

mindanao:

sucks for ground war (there is none)

strat is too hard and pretty much unusable with new depot 5 min rebuild stuff

it is most beautiful terrain in AH rotation for sure.


but it is so hard to win a battle nd reset the map and move the rotation long.

whichever country gains momentum puts itself at odds with the other 2 countries thus preventing resets.

I love the Mindanao terrain.... of course, as a bomber pilot I need to choose fields and runway directions carefully to get in the air, especially if I'm in a Lanc - one with a cliff at the end helps too!    :D  Sometimes makes reaching a target field interesting too, if there are hills to get over on the way, but I can usually manage it if I get enough alt to start with!

As for ground vehicles, well I use them just as much as in any other terrain - and that is pretty often!  A few fields have remote spawn points, but even if they haven't there are often times when a field is under heavy attack (As A1 was when I was on last night - and we managed to hold it, at least until I logged) when I use an Osti extensively.

Plenty of water around for PT boat and Fleet fun too... yeah, I love Mindanao!    :)

I like the map, but it's not suitable for the numbers in the MA and it stays around forever.

We need the giant pre CV map, with no water except at the edges put back into rotation. This would be a nice quick fix until new larger maps are done.


Please Please HTC kill (or manually reset) the Mindenau Map, its awful right now.

Like many have said here, Mindanao looks nice and has intresting spots for fighter combat, BUT

-GVs can be used only at southern plains

-WESTern country is a fortress that cannot be conqured (unless odds are 3:1 and other countries gangbang it)

-With big numbers (100 player in each country) none of the countries can be reset

It becomes boring when the fight happens at same fiedls night after night for several weeks.

Maybe there should be a limit of 2 weeks (maybe even less?? 1 week?). If no-one wins the war in that time then the map should be reset automatically!!!!!!!

ahh forgot,
a solution to the lack of GV battles could be the roads mentioned earlier. Just make canyon passes for the roads!!! Hills are too hard for many GVs to climb. Such places would be great for jabo action too!
