Title: Idea for clouds/sky
Post by: Joc on May 19, 2003, 01:57:17 AM: Was sitting remembering the great SAC program for AW where you could change the clouds etc in the game,it really improved the feeling of the game,and then I looked at the bland blue sky in our AH world,wouldnt we benifit from different skyies with 'upper' cloud layers painted onto it?? these sky's could change with each reset giving a different mood to the game,also with our own lower cloud layers,would provide a better feeling of deph to the sky,Im not a great artist but I messed around with 2 pics,

Be nice if we could have this kind of effect in the game.

I can undertand your trouble but it's perhaps time to search some professional help ?

More seriously now , it will be great to see more clouds and different layer in AH.
Currently I think the MA is a bit lacking fun because of the lack of cloud , the clouds add another dimension to the game.

Post by: Joc on May 19, 2003, 08:41:07 AM: Thanx,I was just thinking with AH 2 under development,and the actual release of it who knows when,maybe adding sky textures like this to the present AH might add something,we might not get anymore new aircraft to the game,but for me this would a lot more depth to the game,different cloud textures for each reset,stormy looking clouds,summer wispy clouds with maybe contrails for that Batle of Britain feel,probably too hard to implement at this stage,and with AH2 in the pipes,maybe too late? Id actually prefer this over more aircraft.

I don't like the weather in ah much, it's always very clear so you can't hide anywhere in the clouds!
