Is anybody doing the Star Wars Galaxies Beta: I've got it and finally got it working and Maybe I am missing something but I need some help getting oriented with the movement interface. I keep moving the wrong way!

yup, I'm in. So is Saurdaukar, IIRC.
I haven't played with it recently since supposedly current Nvidia drivers have issues with FSAA and DirectX 9 (in all things, not just in SWG.) Until that issue is resolved, I'm not upgrading to DX9, which means no SWG Beta 3.
Other that, remember your NDA. ;) You're not supposed to say if you're bored or having the time of your life yet! :p

My son loaded the latest Nvidia drivers for our Ti 4200 and then got Dx 9 for our XP Pro machine. SWG Beta 4 works fine. And, AH works fine too!

but do you have any anti-aliasing turned on? I was reading reports of awful screen flashes in just about every DX9 application if any full screen anti-aliasing was enabled. I've always got at least 2xFSAA on.

I am in the beta too. I had to remap the movement keys to the keypad because after about a half hour of moving with the mouse my wrist was about to fall off.

I'm in. If you play this style of game alot (like swg, neocron, planetside, counterstrike, etc) then I'd suggest picking up a strategic commander (just google search it if you don't know what that is). You map your movement keys to it, and it's a million times easier than a keyboard mouse combo.

So far everything I have heard says, it is just like phantom menace... IE is sucks so bad hoover wants to license it as a vacume motor...
Whats your take? is it going to be worth playing?
I am not sure I even want to see what you get when you mix the makers of EQ and Ultima online, and throw in George Lucas.....
I just cant see it being good..

Update process took a while, and yes it looks very cool. I think that's about all I can say legally....otherwise it would look like those US Gov't releases on what they know about UFOs...pages upon pages blacked out :p

I really don't know... I'm with saurdaukar on this one... It's okay.. I can see myself playing for a few weeks but thats all. It's just not my thing. Others will no doubt go nuts over it.

Dx 9 didn't screw up anything with AH....course, I use a radeon card tho.
