I'm about to order a CH HOTAS setup (Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pro Pedals). I've been a die hard Thrustmaster fan but my F-16 FLCS/TQS went tits-up on me and the new Cougar seems like it needs to many mods to make it last and work well. It also looks like CH's new programming rivals Thrustmaster's which was one of my holdouts.
I found a site that I can get the setup for around $268. Unfortunately shipping to Alaska is another $70.

Does anyone have this setup and have any problems with it?

I have also looked around and this also was the best price I found. My shipping is $42 for a total price of $310.

Provantage is where I bought mine about 4-5 months ago, and was the best price I could find.
Newegg.com is also a good place to check. Frequently, they might not have the lowest prices (still very good), but they usually have the cheapest shipping. At least to the lower 48.

Few people here have had issues with the USB CH pro pedals. Mainly the brake pedal connecting wire tends to get caught up when you kick full rudder and after a while the wire snaps making one of your brake pedals unusable. It's pretty easy to splice the cable but opening up the pedals and closing them up can be a little cumbersome.
I'm just a little tweaked about it because I've got to fix mine now for the second time in about 2 years.

On the other hand, some of us have been using our CH Pro Pedals USB for 5 years without any problems. Mine are still working as well as the first day they came outta the box.

Oh so thats what happend to my right brake.

I have a pile of no less than 7 thrustmaster basket cases. The CH is 3 years old and this is first problem I have had with it. None of the thrust master lasted over a year.

heya guys,[gals?] i have a set of ch pro usb pedals on order, plan to use them with an x45..how much better is rudder control with the pedals? I have been using ms twisty for ages, but it is too twitchy; saitek rudder bites, but otherwise stick is decent. Just wondering if the pedals make rudder more concise.

No contest between twisty and pedals. Pedals are the way to go.

Pedal Power!!
I use a serial Pro Pedals with my X45 now.
I tried the X45 only with the rudder rocker. YUCK!! Took me awhile to get the right set-up but it works well.

The pro pedals are nice because they can also serve as toe brakes in AH, besides the usual use as rudder pedals. Those toe brakes come in handy when you want to do some tight manuvering while taxiing.

Try Flight Sim Central - http://www.fscentral.com...I just punched in the info for ordering that stuff (all USB) and the shipping was $13, but it was still about $10 more than Provantage. FSC is a great company tho'...not sure if they offer package deals, but you could always call their 800 #...they're very personable.

you can use the CH Pro USB pedals in driving games too as the accelerator and brake pedals. ;)
If you've spend any time with a twisty stick in AH or other flying games, it will be a *big* adjustment going from that to the pedals. Be patient and expect that you won't fly very well or shoot anything down for a while. It will get better and in the end you'll be glad you switched.
Personally, it took me about a month of constant usage to get 'good' at flying with pedals.

so got the pedals, got them working in win2k, only issue left is how do i get the toe brakes to work? I used the wizard to set up the rudder axis, but have not figured out how to get the brakes working. any help greatly appreciated :)

Once you get them calibrated in windows. Start AH and go to setup then joystick. The click on select joystick. It should show all of your controls. Scroll down and find left and right brake. Make sure you select your pedals. You can see tha values change as you push the brakes down. So you will know what axis to choose. There is a button that says set imput. Once you get it all setup calibrate in the game and your good to go.

not to hijack a dormant thread, but have my ch pro pedals working with my ms twisty stick for ailerons, elevator and rudder (toe brakes too :)) and for throttle using the saitek x45's. Very nice, didn't have to spring for the ch throttle after all. And the pedals are super compared to the throttle mounted rudders.

ill give a little advice if ya have problums like one break on your pedals callthem ship it to em they fix or replace it free..it you open it
it voids that warenty ... they did mine and i think they gave me new ones heheh it was cleaner and a lot smother then the old one :D ya lose bought a week with no pedals is all .
