My guess is that they'll look like me in my 109 or P-51.  I hope they model a little head in the cockpit frantically looking behind him.   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I would imagine that the least amount of work  for the development team would be to use existing craft.

One feature of off-line drones in Red Baron that I like is that new drones are launched at your altitude.  You don't have to spend boring minutes to climb up to them, you can focus on the task at hand which is gunnery.  RB2 also lets you pick the plane you are going to shoot, which may be a nice long term goal.  For the short term, I would suggest a plane that is a little slow, like a Spit or maybe a Zero.  Something that is not going to force you to spend 20 minutes to climb up to alt, then dive in order to get enough speed to catch it in a P51    (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

The purpose of drone shooting is to quickly get a feel for your guns trajectory, so that lead adjustment becomes second nature.

Also, the drones should not just fly straight, but should make slow circles and yo-yos,to give you different angles of shooting.

MS Combat simulator, gives several options for launching drones co-alt, advantage, dis-advantage.

Unlimited ammo is IMHO a must have for target practice.

And I would also be nice to put a flock of sheep on A1 that you could hammer the @#$ out of, and see their body parts and their Uzis fly all over.  I would like some paybacks on that flock    (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Some Seal Pups would be nice too    (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I hope there will be the option to start in-flight for offline play. I really need to practive my ATG skills and I hate having to take off and climb when flying offline.

Hi All,
I don't care what they look like, But will they have random "warping" built in at about D1.3K? and will they shoot back?

"The greatest fighter ever!", a loyal few say-
Though most don't exactly see it that way,
But if a target drone is required,
The aircraft that is most desired,
Has to be the good old Brewster F2A!
