Whats the highest you've flown in the MA?
I think my squaddie, Phantom4, holds the unofficial AH record, he managed to get up to 160,000 feet in a ME163 (unlimited fuel during the Con last year) before he fell off his chair..:D Not bad for a real-life backseater in a F4 Phantom...
-
Just shy of 40K in a Jug.. or 59K in 162 before running out of gas
-
Angels 31 in a 109G10 on autopilot while watching "The Howard Stern Show" before I realized that I wasn't going to find anything to shoot at that altitude.
-
in H2H, with a spawn point set in midair, I got to see a PT boat fall down :)

There used to be (and probably still is) a bug that will let a C-47 go over 200k in the MA.

48k in a P-38.
And it was during a snaphot last year, we had a group of P-38s meet a group of zeke's in the 40's alt. Was real fun.
-
I remember in the CT I was in a Fw190a8 tryin to intercept a bomber raid crossed 30k and shot up like a rocket to 36k had to throttle back to 0 and still was doing 400mph.:)
-
7k or so... but I think the field I took off from was 5.5k.

Is that before or after you've prayed to the Porcelain Goddess?

Rip.......I've come to the conclusion that you've entirely to much free time on your hands :D
-
bout 200k in a 163 with a full 120mph wind with full uplift...look less than 5 minutes

42.5k in a P-47D-30 in the MA couple years ago on the original map with the big mountain in the middle. I had gone AFK on climbout and forgot the game was still running. When I came back I was like 8 sectors behind the front line. A lone 109 came after me--I think it was Hazed--and he started going off on channel 1 about how high I was. I started BnZing him down at 30k then returning to my perch. I don't remember shooting him down on that occasion. Compression was too much of a problem at that altitude.

You see I figured Rip out after he "bought" the BMW - he's really an Airbus Industrie mole at Boeing and his job is to reduce productivty in their design shops. I hear he is largely responsible for the A380 beating Boeing to the punch in the superjumbo market. And thats why they gave him the nice european car as a reward. :)

Naw Grun, it would have been a Peugot then. ;)
-
Played with the wind settings offline, managed to get a 109G10 over 100,000 before WEP ran out. Of course, the fun part was bailing at that altitude.

Germany is part of the syndicate.... :D I'm tellin you its the plain truth about Rip, he's an Airbus agent. Lets not forget he was a JG2 luftwhinie in the past but all of sudden became a marine pilot, very convenient cover, wouldnt you say? :)

5k above the ground is plenty. why risk a nosebleed... besides... when you go up high there is no one any good to fite with.

78.5 in Me 163, no wind, or uplift, normal fuel burn.
Peaceful up there :)

I got to 67000 feet in a heavy lancaster once. I had started my climbout from a back field and went to run some errands. I forgot about it and when I came back, the thing was that high and still climbing at an astonishign rate of 1.5K a minute.
-
I fly lower than I live..
at least 3k lower actually
-
LOL Grun, nice conspiracy theory! (always wanted to say that to you) :D
